Cavite Provincial Health Office in cooperation with Trece Martires City Health Office spearheaded the Skin Disease Detection and Prevention Caravan thru the initiative of Provincial National Leprosy Control Program Coordinator Haydelisa Maderazo on October 17, 2019 in Barangay Hugo Perez, Trece Martires City. Almost 200 residents availed the free skin consultation rendered by PHO and TMCHO staff with the assistance of barangay health workers. A lecture about leprosy and other skin diseases was conducted by Ms. Maria Cristina Ann Buenaagua, DOH Region IV-A NLCP Regional Coordinator. Some health tips regarding proper skin care and hygiene were also included in the lecture. Likewise, patients were provided prescribed medicines, herbal soap, skin ointments and insect repellant lotion.
