Vice Governor Jolo Revilla has followed the amazing footsteps of his elders while making a name for himself.
A scion of the famous Revilla clan in Philippine showbiz and politics, he has not only seriously pursued his acting career, but has also heeded the call of public service.
A grandson of former Senator and Philippine Reclamation Authority Chairman Ramon Revilla, Sr. and the second eldest son of couple lawmakers former Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. and City of Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla, this advocate of youth empowerment and community development has participated in various anti-drug campaigns as founder and president of the Bacoor-based Tugon Youth Organization. He also served as adviser of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Bacoor. Aside from these, he was also the Youth Ambassador of Kaya ng Kabataang Pinoy or KAYAKAP, the youth arm of his father.
In 2010, this young achiever officially entered the field of public service as Barangay Chairman of Panapaan VII, Bacoor and then as President of the Association of Barangay Councils of the said city. His newly-embraced career reached a higher notch when he was elected as President of the Cavite Provincial Chapter of the Liga ng mga Barangay which earned him a seat as Ex-officio Board Member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Cavite. Eventually, he was also elected as National Executive Vice President of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas.
Because of his good performance and track record as a public servant, the Cavite masses elected him last year as Vice Governor of the province. Subsequently, he was chosen by his colleagues as Vice Chairman of the League of Vice Governors of the Philippines. In July of this year, this Presiding Officer of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Cavite was recognized by the Superbrand Marketing International, which conferred on him the Outstanding Local Legislator Award.
The scion of the Agimat bloodline, young yet already a certified public servant, an icon of the youth, an environment and barangay empowerment activist.
