Cavite Provincial Jail in partnership with the Department of Education-Cavite Alternative Learning System (ALS) held the graduation ceremony with the theme: Pagkakaisa sa Pagkakaiba-iba; Kalidad na Edukasyon Para sa Lahat” on July 9, 2019 at the Cavite Provincial Jail Visiting Area, Trece Martires City. Sixty-nine (69) inmates were confirmed and given their certificates for passing the 2018 Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency by education officials headed by Assistant Division Schools Superintendent Dr. Elias A. Alicaya, Jr., Public Schools District Supervisors Dr. Amelita Peñalba and Mr. Saturnino A. Hernandez, Mr. Charlie G. Garcia, District ALS Mobile Teacher and Mr. Noel M. Alegre, OIC-Provincial Warden.

Guest Speaker Norielyn C. Narciso, Principal II of Kaytitinga National High School in Alfonso, Cavite congratulated the graduates and believed that they will also be successful citizens when they return to the mainstream of society.  Vice-Governor Jolo Revilla who was the Guest of Honor likewise congratulated the graduates and stressed that education is not limited to those outside prison but also to those behind bars. He gladly shared that his father, Senator Bong Revilla was also an Alternative Learning System graduate. Vice Governor led the awarding of 9 elementary and 6 high school honor students.

Present during the ceremony were Mokja Church Pastors Park Seungil and Koo Bonshik, service providers from Korea, families and friends of the graduates, teachers, CPJ employees and staff and other inmates.
