To enhance the effectiveness of every barangay tanod in the province, being the force multiplier and front liner in peacekeeping, Cavite Governor Boying Remulla led the distribution of handheld radios, reflectorized vests, as well as provided them a free seminar that will orient them on their duties and responsibilities at their community. Recipients during the ceremonial turnover held on August 9, 2018 were from Indang, Trece Martires City, Amadeo, and Tanza, while the distribution conducted on August 10, 2018 was for the officials and tanod of the City of Dasmariñas respectively. Cavite PPO Deputy Police Director for Operations PSUPT Michael Ceciliano served as guest speaker, who discussed the functions of barangay tanod under the Local Government Code. During the program, Governor Boying was joined by co-public servants including Indang Mayor Perfecto Fidel with Vice-Mayor Sammy Rodil and Municipal Councilor Ping Remulla, Board Members Reinalyn Varias and Valeriano Encabo, Dasmariñas Vice-Mayor Rex Mangubat, Provincial Administrator for Community Affairs Engr. Redel Dionisio and other local and SK officials who also showed support to the endeavors of the provincial government that are geared towards peace and progress. Recipients expressed their gratefulness and continued cooperation to any project that will guide and prepare them in achieving efficiency in maintaining peace and order in their own barangay.
