Governor Boying Remulla thru the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) distributed educational assistance to 338 students and granted medical and burial support to 2,029 underprivileged Caviteños on April 24, 2018 at the provincial gymnasium in Trece Martires City. Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCLEDO) head and Provincial Scholarship Program Chairman Alvin Mojica inspired the recipients by echoing the goal of the provincial government to help its people. He ensured the youth that funds for educational assistance will be prioritized to aid the learners on their school expenses. On the other hand, PSWDO Head Felipa Servañez welcomed the beneficiaries of medical and burial assistance and guaranteed the effort of the provincial government on giving support to poor and vulnerable members of the community to ease their emotional and financial burdens. Some of the projects under the welfare assistance program includes medical assistance, balik probinsya, reintegration assistance for OFWs, indigency assistance, burial assistance for the poor and senior citizens, and assistance to children/youth in need of special social services.
