HEALTHCARE SERVICE FOR INDIGENT MEMBERS OF COMMUNITY

Bringing social services closer to the indigent members of the community, the provincial government of Cavite thru the OPG-Extension, Provincial Health Office and the City Government of Trece Martires joined hands to provide the basic health needs of Treceños during the medical and dental mission held at Golden Horizon in Barangay Hugo Perez on July 16, 2019.   A total of 754 residents showed their appreciation to the medical mission team composed of doctors, dentists, and medical professionals from General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital and the City Health Office led by Dr. Maria Cecilia Tejedor for rendering free consultations and tooth extraction. The locals were also able to avail other health care services including free sugar testing from Multilab Diagnostic and Health Services, immunization to avoid helminthiasis, maternal and family planning services, and nutrition lectures under the Maternal Neo-Natal Child Health and Nutrition Caravan Program headed by Dr. Maria Victoria Salvatus-Torres. Free vitamins, food supplements and deworming medicines were also given to the patients. Likewise, employees of the Provincial Population Office were in attendance to guide mothers on proper birth spacing. The event was made possible thru the effort of Mayor Gemma Lubigan, Vice Mayor Bobby Montehermoso, 7th District Board Members Ping Remulla and Lito Langit and the city council of Trece Martires. Other support agencies and personnel include barangay health workers, iPARV, Provincial Information and Community Affairs Department and employees of the local and provincial government.
