In its aim to enhance, rehabilitate and make the historical site more meaningful, a Memorandum of Agreement for the Deed of Donation Acceptance of the Andres Bonifacio Shrine and Eco-Park was signed between the Provincial Government of Cavite led by Governor Boying Remulla and F & E De Castro Corporation represented by Mr. Federico De Castro on December 03, 2018 at the Ceremonial Hall of the Provincial Capitol in Trece Martires City.

Gov. Remulla delivered an inspirational message and echoed his appreciation to the De Castro Family for the 8 hectares of land donated to the province. He also hopes that the gesture which will pave the way for the promotion of historical tourism be an instrument in building a peaceful and strong nation by enlightening citizens about history and the heroes who gave their lives for the sake of the country.

Meanwhile, Ms. Florence De Castro, daughter of Mr. Federico De Castro shared a memorable story behind the decision of donating the property to the local government. She also expressed their family’s hope to make the project a key to unfolding history and the true story of Andres Bonifacio and in uniting the Filipino people.

In closing, Dr. Daisy D. Morales, descendant of Andres Bonifacio expressed her heartfelt appreciation to all who valued the heroic contribution of her grandfather.

Present during the occasion were Provincial Administrator for Community Affairs Mr. Alvin Mojica, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Mr. Jesus Barrera, Provincial Engineering Office Head Board Member Gilbert Gandia and former Maragondon Mayor Monte Andaman.
