13 STRANDED CAVITEÑOS IN CEBU CITY BACK SAFELY TO THEIR FAMILIES

In response to the approval given by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-IED), the Department of Tourism arranged another sweeper flight for stranded domestic travelers (DTs) in different regions. On May 08, 2020, a total of 13 Caviteños boarded the flight from Cebu City to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Meanwhile, the Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC) headed by Governor Jonvic C. Remulla through the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) provided shuttle service to the DTs going back to their hometowns in Bacoor, Dasmariñas, General Trias, Kawit, and Noveleta and were assisted by respective city/municipal tourism officers.
