KEEP CAVITE SMILING

PICAD2017-019

In celebration of the 13th National Dental Health Month in Cavite, the Provincial Health Office and the Office of the Provincial Governor-Medical Mission Team spearheaded a dental caravan and medical mission, which provided free oral health services and pediatric consultation to hundreds of children aged 4-6 who are pupils from Day Care Centers of barangay Cabuco, La Trinidad, Pasong Baka, Sunshine Ville Subdivision and Dei Gracia Academy in Trece Martires City. The event was held at Dei Gracia Academy Covered Court on February 8, 2017 carrying the theme "Ngiping Inalagaan at Pinagyaman, Hatid ay Ngiting Di Kukupas Kailanman." Activities promoting proper oral healthcare like tooth brushing drill and fluoride application were led by PHO dentists Dr. Regina Salazar, Dr. Emelina Salvador, Dr. Charvy Dator and City Health Office dentist Dr. Catherine Lubigan. Medical check-ups were rendered by Dr. Gilbert Mortel, Dr. Daisy Penus and Dr. Bella Balahadia. The children were also given free toothbrush, toothpaste, medicine, vitamins and mosquito repellent lotion. Other guests who joined and supported the campaign to keep the province smiling were Ms. Aiza de Sagun who represented her husband Trece Martires City Mayor Melan de Sagun, Brgy. Cabuco Chairman Federico Ferraer, and other local officials. (PICAD)
