Launching of the Provincial Oral Health Month Celebration


     In line with the commemoration of the Oral Health Month, the provincial government of Cavite launched the Provincial Oral Health Month Celebration with the theme, “ Ngipin Inalagaan at Pinagyaman, Hatid ay Ngiting di Kukupas Kailanman” during the medical and dental mission at Noveleta Elementary School on February 10, 2017. A total of 347 patients comprised of pre schoolers, kinders, and Grades 1 and 2 pupils have received a comprehensive oral health treatment with free medical consultations, tooth extraction and flouride application from the volunteer doctors and dentists from General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital and Philippine Airforce 15th Strike Wing.

A brief lecture on oral health education was facilitated by Dr. Cristina Lim for the pupils and a ceremonial turnover of oral health kits were given to them by Ms. Jennifer Juan and Mr. Diomr Scott of Colgate Palmolive Philippines. The event is made possible thru the collaborative effort of the Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. George Repique, Dr. Gilbert Ilog, Dr. Edwina J. Go, Dr. Maria Hilda Bucu, the principal and teaching staff of Noveleta Elementary School,Municipal Social Worker Development Office(MSWDO) and day care workers, staff from the rural health units, Rotary Club of Noveleta, IJC, Cavite Public Health Dentists and Dental Aides Assoc. headed by Drs. Raymond Mendoza and  Gani Lorenz Castellano, DOH-Dentists – Dr. Panda Clyde Tan, Dental OPD, Noveleta Mayor Dino Chua, Councillor  Leah Olidan - Balen and SB Members of the Municipal Government of Noveleta ,  Ms.  Maribel Bernal of the OPG extension and some local and provincial employees of the province. The Mobile Dental Bus of the municipality of Alfonso and cities of Imus, Gen. Trias, and Cavite were used during the dental checkups and fluoride application.  --(PICAD)
