The Cavite Quality Management Office led by Dr. Eva Defiesta, Quality Management Representative has facilitated the third Top Management Review on June 2, 2015 at the CQMO Conference Room at the Provincial Capitol in Trece Martires City.
During the assembly, Dr. Defiesta emphasized that the top management review is the key for the continual improvement of every organization in the provincial government. She reiterated that the participants must use the time to scrutinize and collectively discuss the future of QMS and look ahead to determine the action to be taken for the improvement of each department.
Included in the agenda were the following: approval of the minutes of the previous top management review, matters arising from it and up actions from previous concerns discussed; PGC-QMS accomplishment report; results of the previous internal quality audit and the status of corrective and preventive action; workplace organization inspection report for the first quarter of 2015; client’s feedback report for the month of January to May 22, 2015; the attainment of quality objectives ; and the status of leveling up of quality objectives.
The QMR discussed matters that were raised during the previous meeting which include the designation form or letter to be made for non-attending department heads, the conversion of monthly top management meeting to quarterly meeting or as the need arises, and the enhancement of quality objectives and targets which were set by the offices involved.
She also reported the February to April 2015 accomplishment showing the results of the recent PGC re-certification. Other activities touched were the top management review on February at Eagle Ridge where related issues concerning PGC QMS were discussed and the writeshop on leveling up of objectives which was conducted for finance building offices including the Accounting, Assessor, Budget and Treasurer’s Office on March 10, 2015. The same activity was conducted for the rest of the offices on May 7-8 and the output of which was presented for information and appreciation of all the departments present. A root cause analysis seminar was also conducted by CQMO on March 17-18, 2015 for PGC process owners.
The QMO remains positive on the path being taken by all the ISO certified offices and is optimistic on the actions being taken to uphold the new objectives and targets set.
