DOMINADOR M. CAMERINO was governor of Cavite under the Second Republic for less the four months, November 1944 to February 3, 1945. he was appointed to fill up the vacuum created by the escape of Castañeda who had joined his guerilla forces in the field.
Camerino vacated his position when the American returned and Cavite province was liberated by Castañeda’s FACGF on February 3, 1945. Ten days later, Castañeda was again appointed acting governor of Cavite by Major General Joseph Swing, commander of the 11 th Airborne Division of the U.S. Army.
