Cavite Provincial Health Office (PHO) concluded this year’s National Oral Health Month celebration with the 1,279 day care pupils of Tagaytay City who received dental services and oral health kits on February 27, 2019 at the Tagaytay International Convention Center. Mayor Agnes Tolentino awarded certificates of appreciation to the volunteer dentists from PHO for their endeavors in promoting good oral health. Likewise, City Health Officer Dr. Liza Capupus who welcomed guests and participants, thanked Governor Boying Remulla for sponsoring the free fluoride application which was led by PHO Dental Head Dr. Mary-Ann Montenegro. The children also received oral kits sponsored by Colgate Philippines and learned proper brushing techniques from the oral health lecture provided by Doctors Cristina Lim and Yolly Maligayo. Meanwhile, other guests from Amadeo, Mendez, Indang, Gen. E. Aguinaldo and Alfonso Dental Circle who also lent their time and expertise to support this month’s theme: “Ngipin na Malusog at ProtektaDOH, Masaya at Maningning na Ngiti and Hatid sa Mundo,” reminded everyone the importance of visiting their dentist every six (6) months.
