The Provincial Government of Cavite thru the Provincial Health Office in collaboration with Colgate-Philippines gears up for this year’s Oral Health Month celebration, promoting the Zero Cavities Campaign of the province on February 15, 2019. Instilling the importance of proper dental care, the dental team headed by Dr. Mary Ann Montenegro visited the pupils of Maduya Elementary School in Carmona and carried out the free fluoride application for children to have stronger teeth and healthy smiles. Likewise, to further raise awareness on the value of good oral health, a puppet show carrying the slogan “Kapag bongga ang smile, bongga ang future” was led by volunteers from Colgate, keeping the participants focused during the event. They also gave away sets of toothbrush and toothpaste for free. The partnership efforts will surely keep Caviteños smiling as the team is set to conduct similar oral health promotion activities on dental caravans to other towns including Rosario, Amadeo and Tagaytay City. The school principal, Ms. Gina Minardo, thanked Governor Boying Remulla and the rest of the team for having chosen their students as beneficiaries of the province’s oral health program.
