With the undertaking to incessantly uplift the entrepreneurial spirit of the Caviteños, the Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Office (PCLEDO) convened the Cavite Entrepreneurship Students Caravan carrying the theme “Entrepreneurial Mindset: First Step Towards Success” on August 29, 2019 at Emilio Aguinaldo College Gymnasium in the City of Dasmariñas.
Aiming to motivate the 550 senior high school students who have attended the gathering, the caravan intends to awaken the entrepreneurial mentality of the youth who have an intense interest in business. With the passion to succeed in life, the assembly will teach them constructive mindset which they can use as an instrument to climb high and reach the peak of their entrepreneurial journey. Attending such event will also help them to gain exposure on various opportunities and business innovations which they can imitate to improve their craft and enhance their entrepreneurial outlook.
Mr. Ernesto Guillermo Jr., EAC Sr Highschool Principal sincerely welcomed the participants, recognizing the efforts exerted by the provincial government in order to facilitate programs that enhance the entrepreneurial approach of the students and building the confidence and character of the youth sector towards business learning and development.
Likewise, Entrepreneurial Division Head Liza Gabatan delivered the opening remarks and explained the overview of the caravan as she encouraged everyone to actively participate in the learning process as it will depict numerous opportunities and business possibilities among entrepreneurs.
On behalf of Governor Jonvic Remulla, 7th District Board Member Crispin Diego “Ping” Remulla conversed an inspirational message, reassuring the youth sector that the administration is very aggressive in launching programs that stimulate the youth’s mind and enthusiasm as they constantly formulate programs for the younger generations. He stressed that each learner must know the techniques in building their own business as it may strengthen their financial stability and economic responsiveness.
EAC Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Georgina B. Palmario was also in attendance who showed compassion on developing the attitude and mindset of their students to evolve as effective entrepreneurs and become globally competitive in the future.
Meanwhile, Ms. Lyssa L. Rodriquez, Development Management Officer II of PCLEDO presented the PCLEDO profile and services which include the projects being taken to assist the entrepreneurs and cooperatives in the province, and enumerated the lined-up livelihood programs being implemented for the communities.
Highlighting the event was a lively discussion of the topic “Entrepreneurial Mindset” deliberated by Mr. Paulo M. Tibig, Chief Executive Officer and President of VCargo Worldwide, author and EntrepChamp. Mr Tibig shared his visions on molding optimistic mindset and conversed his insights on entrepreneurship as he roamed around the vicinity to communicate with students and other attendees. Barriers and hindrances on becoming an effective entrepreneur were also clarified and laid down to illustrate the scenario that may be encountered by young entrepreneurs and how they may be able to break these barriers. He emphasized that learners must focus on stepping the right track and grab every opportunity that comes their trail if they think that it will uplift their way of living.
Closing the program was PCLEDO OIC, Atty Khervy Reyes who dared and challenged the partakers to come out of their shell and try various innovations which can stimulate their mind and spirit as they embrace the goodness of entrepreneurship.
