Vice Governor Athena Bryana Delgado Tolentino is perhaps among the youngest public servants we have in the country today. Born on the 11th day of June 1998, this 24-year-old is second among the three (3) children of Former Congressman, City Mayor, and Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Abraham ā€œBambolā€ N. Tolentino and equally devoted public servant and loving wife and mother former City Mayor and incumbent Tagaytay City Vice Mayor Dr. Agnes D. Tolentino.

Upon receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at UniversitĆ© Laurentienne, this young public servant imprinted a significant mark in legislative work as a member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Tagaytay. Several landmark legislations from the city council were authored by Vice Governor Tolentino during her tenure as a city councilor and as the committee chairperson of the Committee on Housing, Committee on Health and Nutrition, and Social Welfare and Development.

After her brief term as a city councilor, she ran for Vice Governor and won in the May 2022 elections. Her legislative priorities for the Province of Cavite include:

1. MENTAL HEALTH
To integrate mental health care in the essential health services, to incorporate strategies to promote mental health in educational institutions, workplaces, and communities, and to develop and establish a comprehensive, integrated, effective, and efficient provincial mental health care system responsive to psychiatric, neurological, and psychological needs.

2. RESTORE AND PROMOTE ARTS AND CULTURE
To safeguard and preserve the integrity of cultural heritage and restore historical sites and natural endowments of Cavite, to develop tourism infrastructures and improve the quality of services to be globally competitive and to encourage and promote community-based tourism support industries to the tourism mainstream.

3. ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY
To upgrade the capability of the LGUs in planning and to implement solid waste collection and disposal service, utilizing their current resources and ultimately preparing them for managing an integrated solid waste management system, Strengthening Solid Waste Management Board and introducing Alternative Technologies to address Residual Plastic Wastes in the Province of Cavite.

4. GOOD GOVERNANCE
To provide a local government that ensures transparency, responsive, effective and efficient, which upholds the rule of law.

Vice Governor Tolentino is the youngest and the first female vice governor of the Province of Cavite. Her advocacy for good governance, holistic human well-being, development, social equality, and inclusivity, among others, signify this leader’s genuine desire to serve the people, the community, and the country.

Vice Governor Tin, as she is fondly called, comes from a lineage of esteemed public servants beginning with her late grandfather and the Father of Tagaytay City, Atty. Isaac O. Tolentino, her uncle Senator Francis N. Tolentino; her parents Mayor Abraham and Vice Mayor Agnes Tolentino; her sister Congresswoman Aniela Tolentino and her cousin City Councilor Michael Francis Tolentino. She is likewise a woman of respectable artistic talent and has had several art exhibits which showcased visual arts at its finest. At the same time, managing an art gallery and is an Execon member of the National Committee on Art Galleries, President of Cavite Wood Pushers Association and Vice President of The National Chess Federation of the Philippines.
