In ensuring healthy teeth of the children of the municipality of Ternate, the Office of the Provincial Health Officer, together with the Cavite Public Health Dentists and Dental Aides Association, kicked-off the Provincial Oral Health Month Celebration, bannering the theme “Chikiting Sagipin Unang Ngipin”, held on February 16, 2024 at Ternate Central Elementary School with the aim to promote the importance of good oral hygiene and proper tooth brushing practices among the children.
In the opening remarks, Mr. Leonardo Cargullo, TCES District Supervisor, and Mrs. Reby Nuestro, TCES Principal, delightfully welcomed the dental team, conveying their genuine gratitude for the time and effort they spent in extending the services to their locality.
The program commenced with the talk of Dr. Raymundo Parnala, presenting brief oral health education and demonstrating proper tooth brushing. He, then, inculcated the significance of brushing the teeth three times a day for a healthier smile.
Following was the distribution of dental kits to 40 school children by Cavite Public Health Dentists, conducting an actual tooth brushing exercise as part of the celebration.
Ms. MJ Aggabao, and some DepEd dentists graced the event and expressed their support in the activity.
The initiative underscores the dedication of the provincial government in adherence to good oral hygiene and dental care for the benefit and welfare of the Caviteños.
