COMMUNITY SERVICE AND PUBLIC HEALTH PROGRAMS FOR IMUSEÑOS


Enhancing its community service and public health programs, the provincial government of Cavite with the support of the Office of the Provincial Governor-Extension and the Provincial Health Office initiated another free healthcare services for the residents of Marian Village in Barangay Bayan Luma 8 in the City of Imus on April 3, 2018. Three hundred thirteen patients were accommodated with free checkups, consultations and tooth extraction thru the help of the volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses and technical staff from General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital (GEAMH) and dentists from the City Health Office of Imus. The residents were also interviewed, especially the mothers to give lectures on family planning and proper birth spacing. Barangay health workers and some employees of the local and provincial government were present to assist in monitoring the blood pressure and weight of the patients. Barangay Chairman Efren Esguerra Jr and the members of the barangay council thanked the medical mission team for facilitating such programs which benefitted their constituents and reiterated their support on the programs of the provincial government.
