The Department of Trade and Industry celebrated the establishment of 1000 Negosyo Centers in different cities and municipalities across the country on November 29, 2028 in Tagaytay City. The event was graced by no less than DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez together with other DTI officials including Usec. Zenaida C. Maglaya of DTI-Regional Operations Group, Assistant Secretary Ameenah A. Fajardo, DTI-IV-A Director Marilou Q. Toledo, ARD Marcelina S. Alcantara, Negosyo Center Program Manager Director Emma C. Asusano, and the DTI-Cavite family headed by Provincial Director Noly D. Guevara. Atty. Carlo Escalada represented Senator Bam Aquino who was the primary sponsor of the Go Negosyo Act and a known supporter of micro, small and medium enterprises in the country. The event also coincided with the launching of Tagaytay City Negosyo Center located at the City Hall in Brgy. Kaybagal South, a welcome development for the city administration headed by Mayor Agnes Tolentino. DTI Sec. Lopez led the cutting of ribbon with the other guests followed by a short program of celebration. A seminar on business plan preparation was conducted by Atty. Khervy B. Reyes, OIC of the Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Development Office for entrepreneurs at the newly-opened Negosyo Center.
