Following the training on maintaining peace and order in the community, the provincial government of Cavite led by Governor Jonvic Remulla continue to capacitate Barangay Tanods, this time on effective traffic management. On November 6, 2019, another Basic Traffic Management Seminar was conducted by the provincial government’s Road Safety Division for the benefit of the Barangay Tanods in the municipalities of Carmona, Silang and General Mariano Alvarez. They were oriented on road traffic apprehensions, legitimate manners in accommodating traffic disruptions, compliant behaviors on handling obstruction on normal traffic flow and other matters pertaining to traffic management. Almost 2100 Barangay Tanods received complete traffic gears such as vest, gloves and boots which they can use while performing their duties in their respective barangay. They were also given packs of rice. Local officials of the three LGUs including Carmona Mayor Roy Loyola and Vice Mayor Cesar Ines Jr., GMA Mayor Walter Echevaria and Vice Mayor Maricel Torres, and Silang Mayor Cory Poblete joined Governor Remulla showing their commitment and strong support to the undertaking on traffic management in the whole province. Fifth District Representative Dahlia Loyola and Board Members Ivee Jayne Reyes and Alston Kevin Anarna were also in attendance, together with some councilors from the three municipalities.
