Almost 200 students of Sisters of Mary School -Girlstown in Brgy. Biga 2, Silang underwent free skin consultation conducted by the medical staff of Cavite Provincial Health Office in cooperation with the Municipal Health Office of Silang on July 9, 2019. Scabies and an-an were the common skin disease seen among the students, while one patient who was suspected with leprosy was referred to MHO for slit skin test to confirm the condition. Patients were given free vitamins, skin ointments, soap, insect repellant lotion and head lice treatment shampoo. Ms. Haydelisa Maderazo, National Leprosy Control Program (NLCP) provincial coordinator gave a short lecture on skin disease awareness, proper care and hygiene as part of the continuous Kilatis Kutis Campaign of the Provincial Health Office.
