Cavite provincial government’s commitment in nurturing the well-being of the Caviteños was once again witnessed in a medical mission bringing basic healthcare services to the Municipality of Silang, Cavite on March 18, 2024.
Silang Municipal Mayor Kevin Alston Anarna, alongside Sangguniang Bayan members, heartily welcomed the medical mission team, conveying their esteemed appreciation for the PGC’s continuous love and support to their community and constituents.
During the course of the program, the OPHO technical team worked together with the Silang RHU in carrying out free check-ups and consultation, benefitting a total of 872 patients. Likewise, 70 residents consulted with Silang public dentists for their oral health concerns.
Staff from the Office of the Provincial Governor led the distribution of prescribed medicines, vitamin supplement, and insect repellant lotion to the Silangeños, relieving the worries and concerns for the needed medication.
Other services rendered during the mission were free eye check-up, pneumococcal vaccines, and anti-rabies vaccines for fur babies.
The initiative truly served as an avenue for the PGC to connect with its people, assess their healthcare needs, even those in the marginalized areas.
