On February 6, 2024, the residents of Brgy. Benjamin Tirona, GMA, experienced a remarkable event as a medical and dental mission unfolded, providing essential healthcare services to 621 beneficiaries. Spearheaded by the OPG and GEAMH Medical and Dental team, in collaboration with CARSIGMA RHU, Imus Medical and Dental team, and volunteers from Christian Grace School of Cavite-GMA, the mission showcased the collective dedication and expertise of healthcare practitioners in meeting the community’s healthcare needs.
With the invaluable assistance of Punong Barangay Ma. Josephine O. Binaday together with Barangay Health Workers, the mission seamlessly provided vital services to the constituents. A total of 492 individuals received medical consultations, addressing various health concerns and providing necessary treatments. Additionally, 53 beneficiaries availed dental extractions, addressing dental health issues crucial for overall well-being. The OPG staff also distributed prescription medicines, supplements, vitamins, and mosquito repellent lotion to beneficiaries.
Furthermore, the mission extended its reach offering specialized services (LAB for ALL), including 40 electrocardiograms (ECG) and 36 x-rays, ensuring a comprehensive approach to healthcare delivery. These diagnostic procedures play a critical role in identifying underlying health conditions, contributing significantly to early detection and intervention.
The resounding success of the mission is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the dedicated medical and dental practitioners, volunteers, and local government officials. Their commitment to serving the community and promoting health equity has undoubtedly made a meaningful impact on the lives of the beneficiaries.
