The staff of Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs office headed by
Ms. Rozelle S. Sangalang celebrated Valentineās Day with a unique
dining experience at the newly-opened restaurant Cocina sa Garaje
Gervasio in Bacoor City on February 14, 2022. Inspired by the love
between Dr. Jose Rizal and Josephine Bracken, owner Christopher G.
Carangian, who is also the Chief Executive Chef of Philippine Culinary
Generals, prepared a full-course menu of dishes rooted from the rich
culinary heritage of Cavite.
For starters, Chef Chris served Escabeche Sobre Pan; Ensalada Adobada
for the salad; Pancit Lang-Lang as soup (Rizalās favorite soup, which
was mentioned in El Filibusterismo as āPinakamainam na Sabawā);
Carne Casada en Espagnole y Rollo de Primavera con Cerdo as the main
course, and lastly for the dessert and drinks are Arroz Helado Tsokolate
con Crema and Sangria and Tsokolate Eh.
Aiming to promote and uplift the culinary of Cavite, PTCAO commits to
discover and support dining establishments that offer food inspired by
traditional dishes or uses local resources.
