The Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PPESO) in partnership with Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) spearheaded the Release of Test Permits for the 2023 OWWA Educational Development Scholarship Program and Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program on March 10, 2023, at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, Trece Martires City.
Mr. Eric Val Miranda, Team Supervisor of OWWA 4-A, Cavite team, Ms. Imelda D. R. Corpuz, family Welfare Officer and Ms. Rizalie Pinpin-Enero, head of PESO led the distribution of exam permits to 113 OWWA member beneficiaries who are graduating senior high school students. The successfully qualified out of the 235 examinees screened.
The scholarship examination is scheduled on March 18, 2023 at Cavite State University-Indang Campus. Successful passers in the examination will be entitled to the grant amounting to Php30,000 per semester for their college education in their chosen school.
Check pay-out for various OWWA Programs were also held during the activity including the five (5) beneficiaries of Education and Livelihood Assistance Program for the Dependents of Deceased OFW Members (ELAP), amounting to Php5,000 – Php8,000 each, four (4) medical assistance with the amount of Php 5,000 – Php 20,000 each, five (5) Bereavement assistance worth Php20,000 each and eight (8) Balik Pinas! Balik Hanapbuhay! Program with the amount of Php5,000 – Php20,000 each.
