Committed to show compassion and respond on the immediate needs of his constituents, Governor Boying Remulla sympathetically checked the welfare of the CaviteƱos affected by heavy rains which caused widespread flooding in lowland areas and damaged the properties of the citizens. On July 24, 2018 the governor, together with his brother Governor Jonvic Remulla and other local officials have distributed rice and canned sardines to 6,000 recipients from the City of Bacoor, 3,000 locals from the City of Imus, 5,000 citizens from the municipality of Kawit , 3,000 residents from Noveleta and 6,000 constituents in Cavite City. Recently, the governor immediately requested the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to declare the entire province of Cavite under state of calamity due to the impact of southwest monsoon rains, enhanced by tropical depression Henry, Inday and Jose to authorize the release of 10 million out of the province’s calamity fund for the benefit of those affected by the Habagat.
