Hotels and restaurant then were the only places that one could sample and gratify their taste buds with such products. Besieged with inquiries and request from expatriate’s housewives residing in the metropolis suburbs, they pointed out the small factory of Euro-Swiss Food in Yakal Street, Makati City. And so, Werner Berger decided to open a small section of the factory with a display chiller to serve them once a week. Sooner than expected, they came in droves practically everyday and wanted more different new things and products.
