In a bid to connect job seekers with promising career opportunities, Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation of Cavite, in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager, held a Mega Job Fair Caravan, aptly dubbed, Trabaho Para sa Kabataang Kabitenyo on November 10, 2023, at the District Mall, City of Imus.
Vice Mayor Hon. Homer T. Saquilayan and Hon. Mark Villanueva, City Councilor and Committee on Trade Commerce, Labor Employment, and Industrial Peace Administrator, were also present to show their support for the event.
In addition, Mr. Hertito V. Monzon, City Administrator, along with Mrs. Rizalie Pinpin-Enero, Cavite Provincial PESO Manager, and Ms. Clarita T. Casing, City of Imus PESO Manager, conveyed their heartfelt gratitude in a message to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. They extended special thanks to the employers and companies that not only made the event possible, but also showed the way to a bright future for all job seekers.
This strategic initiative seamlessly united two-hundred-six (206) registered job seekers, forty-seven (47) local companies, and one (1) international company. A total of thirty-four (34) applicants were hired on the spot, demonstrating how the event quickly connects people with more job opportunities.
National Government Agencies such as NBI, PSA, OWWA, TESDA, SSS, Pag-Ibig and Philhealth were also present at the Mega Job Fair Caravan to provide assistance in updating the records of the applicants.
In conclusion, the job fair not only served as a platform for job seekers to explore new opportunities but also for employers to pinpoint job seekers whose skills and experience perfectly matched what their companies were looking for. This means more chances for job seekers to connect with the right employers and land a job that fits them well.
