The Provincial Government of Cavite thru the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) in cooperation with the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and local health unit continues to reach out to centenarians of Mendez through the Medical and Dental Mission Program for Centenarians that provided free physical examination, dental check-up, laboratory tests, and physical therapy. On August 28, 2018, Ms. Tarcila Peñalba of Barangay Panungyan was visited by the PHO medical team to check her health condition, while on August 29, 2018, Ms. Victoria Sarmiento of Barangay Poblacion III underwent the same procedure pursuant to the implementing rules and regulations of Sangguniang Panlalawigan Ordinance No.12 Article 8 which states that centenarians in the province shall be provided with free medical and dental check-up. The centenarians also received free medicines courtesy of Governor Boying Remulla.
