LAUNCHING OF NSB IN MAGALLANES

The Department of Trade and Industry- Cavite led by Director Noly Guevara remains steadfast in initiating programs and business assistance services down to the smallest political unit of the country, the barangays. On July 18, 2019, DTI-Cavite officially launched its Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) to aspiring community entrepreneurs at Brgy. Kabulusan Covered Court in the municipality of Magallanes in partnership with other national agencies and the provincial government of Cavite. Hon. Jasmin Angeli Maligaya-Bautista warmly welcomed everyone and emphasized the importance of empowering local players for economic growth and development. DTI-Cavite Division Chief Ms. Revelyn A. Cortez shared a brief overview of the NSB and DTI services wherein she mentioned that all the 16 barangays of the municipality are scheduled for visitation within 2022. She also encouraged the partakers to be proud of their local products and continue to enhance them. Representatives from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCLEDO), as partner agencies, took part of the event and introduced their programs, services and assistance being offered that can help in doing business. Also part of the activity is the announcement of 10 lucky MSMEs from Brgy. Bendita I and Brgy. Kabulusan who will be prioritized for entrepreneurship seminars and various trainings to enhance their skills and mold them to become competent entrepreneurs. During the event, staff of TESDA PTC-Paliparan also rendered free services such as haircut, manicure and pedicure while TESDA PTC-Rosario demonstrated free PV Installation and Solar Charging Station. Puregold Caravan also showed their support to MSMEs as they offered free application of Aling Puring Card and sold their groceries with special promos.
