An Invitation to all Civil Society Organizations to the 2021 CSO Conference

The Provincial Government of Cavite invites representatives of all Civil Society Organizations seeking accreditation, renewal, and representation in the local special bodies of the Province to the ā€œ2021 Civil Society Organization Conferenceā€ to be held on 15 February 2021, 9:00 AM via Zoom Video Conference.

Civil Society Organization (CSO) is a collective term for non-governmental and civic organizations, cooperatives, social movements, and professional and business groups that actively advocates societal development and the publicā€™s shared interests. It was created through the Local Government Code of 1991 to encourage citizen perspective and involvement in governance so as to ensure that basic services are aligned to peopleā€™s needs.

The conference is part of the accreditation process organized by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) together with the Provincial Sangguniang and Provincial Planning and Development Office and is instrumental for organizations to voice out their concerns. Once accredited, CSOs can gain the opportunity to engage and become a member of the Local Development Council, Local School Board, Local Health Board, Peace and Order Council, and Peopleā€™s Law Enforcement Board in the Province of Cavite.
