A day of thanksgiving and healthy smiles for Mendezeños

On August 9, 2023, Cavite Provincial Government’s mission team worked hand in hand with the local government of Mendez in the conduct of medical and dental outreach at Mendez Municipal Covered Court, providing physical and oral healthcare to 347 beneficiaries.

Technical team from the Office of the Provincial Health Officer, alongside the team from Mendez Rural Health Unit, rendered physical consultations and check-ups. Patients were given the opportunity to seek advice and proper care from medical experts. Likewise, oral healthcare providers from Manila Dentist Association offered consultations, oral prophylaxis and tooth extraction, fostering good oral hygiene among the constituents.

Subsequently, the Office of the Provincial Governor–Extension, under the supervision of Ms. Charlene Ann Samala, provided free prescribed medicines, vitamins, and insect repellent, alleviating the financial constraints of the locals.

In addition to the aforementioned services, distribution of free slippers and eyeglasses was also done. Moreover, a job fair was organized, with the objective of uplifting the lives of the people of Mendez. Attendees were also treated to complimentary arozcaldo, courtesy of Vice Governor Athena Bryana Tolentino.

The event was a gesture of giving back to Mendezeños in celebration of Mayor Francisco “Cocoy” Mendoza’s birthday, as he joined his constituents during the activity together with his wife, Ms. Sonia Mendoza; Mr. Ronald Perey; and the rest of the Sangguniang Bayan.
