CONTINUING FREE HEALTHCARE SERVICES FOR CAVITEÑOS

In its aim to help the less privileged Caviteños, the provincial government of Cavite thru the OPG Extension Office and the Provincial Health Office continues to provide free health care services thru the medical and dental mission. On December 5, 2017, the mission served the people of Barangay F. Reyes in the municipality of General Mariano Alvarez. Barangay Captain Benjamin Detic, together with the members of the barangay council warmly welcomed the volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses, and technical staff from General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital (GEAMH) who rendered free check-ups and consultations to a total of 219 constituents comprised of 94 children, 55 adults, 34 senior citizens and 36 dental patients which were given free tooth extraction. They also received free vitamins and medicines. Detic also reiterated his gratefulness to Governor Boying Remulla for providing such services that benefited the locals of GMA and other citizens of the province. During the mission, staff of the Provincial Population Office also provided lectures on the advantage of family planning and proper birth spacing. Also extending assistance during the event were barangay health workers, barangay nutrition scholars and employees of the local and provincial government.
