Cavite provincial government’s medical and dental mission team visited Brgy. Biga, Tanza, Cavite on August 4, 2023, delivering medical services, pharmaceuticals, preventative health education, and oral health promotion to 283 patients.
The free medical consultations and check-ups were provided by a team from the Office of the Provincial Health Officer comprised of Dr. Reia Joma G. Dangeros, Dr. Raven Joshua A. Tolentino, and midwives. Meanwhile, Dr. Raymond Mendoza, Dr. Suzette Pulido, and Dr. Lourd Adriana rendered oral health services with the assistance of a dental aide.
Of the 283 patients served, 238 received free medical services, while 45 received free dental extractions. They also received prescription medications, multivitamins, and mosquito-repellent lotion from the medical mission team. Free eye check-up and eyeglasses were also provided to patients by the local government of Tanza.
The medical mission was a success, through the combined efforts of municipal councilors Maricel Del Rosario, Sheryl Langit-Gervacio and Sandy de Peralta-Go, Barangay Chairman Raymundo Joya, and SK Chairman Rafael Carl Joya, with the assistance of barangay authorities, barangay health workers, and volunteers.
