On May 17, 2023, a successful medical mission took place in Brgy. Malia, GMA, bringing much-needed healthcare services to the community, through the collaboration of the Office of the Provincial Governor-Extension and the Provincial Health Office.
The dedicated medical team from PHO led by Dr. Bryan Ross F. Villas together with the Dr. Minerva Nieto and staff from Carsigma District Hospital provided free consultations, maintenance medicines, multivitamins and vitamin C supplements to two hundred thirteen (213) adults and children.
Prior to consultation, screening process and antigen swab testing to selected patients were done, for the safety of everyone.
The success of the medical mission in Brgy. Malia would not have been possible without the invaluable support of Barangay Chairman Bernardito P. Castro, Barangay officials and health workers. Their proactive involvement and tireless assistance were essential in organizing and executing the mission.
