The Philippine League of Secretaries to the Sanggunian, Inc. (PLEASES, Inc.) in partnership with Southern Tagalog Association of Region IV-A Secretaries to the Sanggunian (STARSS) conducted and facilitated a Seminar-Workshop cum National Executive Board of Trustees’ Conferences at the Development Academy of the Philippines, Tagaytay City, Cavite on November 20-23, 2019 carrying the theme:Ā Formulation of Records Management Code: Sustaining Records in Perpetuity.
The event was formally opened by a procession of all participants by region who were all welcomed by Mr. Isagani Visey, SB Secretary of Rizal, Laguna and Regional President PLEASES, Inc. CaLaBaRZon. He commended the provincial government for its commitment and perseverance to host the said Conference. Other officials who also gave their short messages were Sec. Paulo Tagsip, SB Secretary, Cordova, Cebu-National President and Sec. Antonio Foman, SB Secretary, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat, National Chairman.
The keynote speaker of the Conference was Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. represented by his wife, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla. She thanked the Filipino people for supporting her husband reiterating that the senator hopes for changes in the government and shared his enacted bills to help the Filipino people. She ended her speech by commending the PLEASES for their exemplary performance of their duties. She also administered the oath for incoming National and Southern Tagalog Association of Region IV-A Secretaries to the Sanggunian (STARSS) Officers witnessed by Hon. Cheryl Deloso-Montalla, Congresswoman of the 2ndĀ District of Zambales and Hon. Julian C. Casapao, President, Vice Mayor’s League Region IV-A. As another guest speaker, Congresswoman Cheryl Deloso-Montalla underscored the value of integrity in the performance of their duties and responsibilities in assisting lawmakers and policy makers. “As you craft policies to ensure the authenticity and integrity of the legislative records in perpetuity, keep in mind always the value of integrity,” she stressed.
The second day opened with a speech from Governor Jonvic Remulla sharing the provincial government’s programs, it being ISO certified and the preparation for the complete digital transformation of the province, with the goal of achieving all paperless operations as well as the future capitol building to be the first carbon neutral and 100% solar-powered government center. He said that the participants are most welcome to come back to see the finished project.

Benitez, Director,m Legal Liaison Services, DILG andĀ Formulation of Records Management CodeĀ by the Training Committee.
A benchmarking to Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Cavite in Trece Martires City and Acienda Designer Outlet in Silang and Submission of Outputs Assessment Meeting and Distribution of Certificates made up the 3rdĀ and 4thĀ day.
A total of 821 participants attended the event comprised of Vice mayors of different cities and municipalities in the country, Local Chief Executives, members of PLEASES, Inc., Board of Trustees, officers and members of Provincial and Regional Chapters, National Board of Trustees, National officers, Legislative support staff, and other officials.
