PTCAO AND TTAs CONDUCT ONSITE VALIDATION OF PROPOSED TOURISM CIRCUITS IN CAVITE

In line with the recently conducted Tourism Circuit Development
Training, the Provincial Government of Cavite, through the Provincial
Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office along with representatives from
local travel and tour associations, conducted an on-site validation of
the proposed tourism circuits in the four (4) tourism nodal points of
Cavite. The activity, which ran for six days on May 12-13 and May 17-20,
meant to further assess the readiness of the different tourist
attractions and establishments in the province and the feasibility of
each proposed circuit.

The First Tourism Nodal Point, which covers Cavite City, Kawit,
Noveleta, Rosario, Tanza, Imus City, and Bacoor City, is the
provinceā€™s center for history. Thus, its circuit included sites and
attractions that represents the history, heritage and culinary of
Cavite.

Meanwhile, the circuit in the Second Tourism Nodal Point centers on
ecotourism and water fun activities in the towns of Naic, Maragondon,
Magallanes, and Ternate. This includes beaches and coves, rivers, and
swimming pool resorts.

The Third Tourism Nodal Pointā€™s proposed circuit is composed of sites
and attractions that promotes leisure, health and wellness. These are
located in Silang, Amadeo, Indang, Alfonso, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo,
Mendez, and Tagaytay City.

Finally, the circuit representing the Fourth Tourism Nodal Point targets
golfers and sports enthusiasts to different sports and recreation sites
in Carmona, GMA, DasmariƱas City, Gen. Trias City, and Trece Martires
City.

During the validation, travel and tour agents asked questions regarding
a siteā€™s available facilities, activities and services offered, and
rates, which are major considerations when creating tour packages. The
respective local tourism officers were also present to assist and
provide suggestions and more information.

PTCAO will later convene the participants to finalize the assessment and
proceed with the creation of tour packages.
