Cavite Governor Boying Remulla encouraged the participants of the 2018 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) Orientation and Seminar /Workshop to strengthen its commitment on providing public service to all the citizens of the province. He pointed out that it is an achievement to be placed on top of the CMCI but it is more noteworthy to reach out the poorest members of the community, offer them the easiest and most decent way to live and find out the things that the government can do to improve their quality of life. Present during the seminar/workshop were Carmona Mayor Dahlia Loyola; Regional Competitiveness Committee Vice Chair and NEDA 4A Regional Director Luis Banua ; Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) 4A Regional Director Marilou Toledo; Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) IV-A Regional Director Charito Armonia; PSA Provincial Director Lucy Soneja, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Director Allan Benitez; Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Director Noly Guevara, and PSA NCR Regional Director Rosalinda Bautista. Provincial Planning and Development Office Head Jesus Barrera acknowledged the planning officers of different cities and municipalities in the province and shared his insights on how each member of the community can do to uplift the status of the province in the CMCI. On the second day, Mr. Marlon Mojica of Cavite State University presented the CMCI Rapid Appraisal Analysis Results for the province of Cavite. Workshop proper on filling out of 2018 CMCI Data Capture Sheet was also accomplished during the 2nd day of the event.
