BENCHMARKING VISIT OF THE PROV’L GOVT OF COMPOSTELA VALLEY TO PGC

Employees and heads of departments of the Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC) warmly welcomed the delegation of the local government of Compostela Valley headed by Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy during their benchmarking visit on August 23, 2019 at the Session Hall of the Legislative Building in Trece Martires City. The activity aims to equip them with knowledge and strategies on how to develop quality management systems for excellent public service. On behalf of Governor Jonvic Remulla, Provincial Administrator for Community Affairs Mr. Alvin Mojica expressed his full support to the leadership of Compostela Valley provincial government in their aim to achieve ISO Certification. Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Mr. Jesus Barrera elaborated the Cavite Development Strategy while Provincial Board Secretary and Quality Management Representative Ms. Michelle Alcid shared the province’s ISO 9001:2015 Certification journey. Meanwhile, Compostela Valley Vice Governor Maria Carmen Zamora thanked the PGC for the reminder not to aim for perfection but rather be a better version of public servants. Moreover, visitation to counterpart offices was done to learn about the best practices in delivering services and actions undertaken in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the QMS implementation in the province. The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) awarded a certificate of appreciation to PGC for sharing its exemplary practices in implementing ISO 9001:2015 certified QMS received by 4th District Board Member Fulgencio Dela Cuesta and 8th District Board Member Virgilio Varias.
